Facts and evidence alone do not heal - care without compassion is simply treatment. Healing happens when science and compassion are applied in tandem, one empowering the other. Nurses are healers who practice a unique kind of care: that which is always motivated by great compassion and grounded in science and evidence. Gain new knowledge, ideas and skills for providing care that is grounded in both compassion and science at the 2009 AWHONN Convention.
